(MCT)âEveryone needs a hobby. Actor Jeremy Renner has put his latest house remodeling project on the market in Holmby Hills at $24.95 million.
The Roaring â20s Art Deco-style mansion includes a wine cellar, a theater, five fireplaces, six bedrooms, 11 bathrooms and 10,005 square feet of living space. The two-acre property features gates, a cobblestone driveway and a swimming pool with spa.
Renner, 42, was nominated for Oscars for his work in âThe Hurt Lockerâ (2008) and âThe Townâ (2010). He starred in âMission Impossible: Ghost Protocolâ (2011) and âThe Bourne Legacyâ (2012). His latest film is âHansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters.â
Renner has been buying and redoing homes with his business partner, actor Kristoffer Winters. This is their most ambitious undertaking to date.
The property was purchased in 2010 for $7 million, public records show.
Damon Already Knew a Neighbor
Actor Matt Damon may have been a neighbor to âGood Will Huntingâ pal Ben Affleck for several months now, but his purchase of an estate in Pacific Palisades for $15 million just appeared on the Multiple Listing Service after the first of the year.
Damonâs contemporary three-level house features 35-foot vaulted mahogany ceilings, an atrium, a floating stairway, an office and a gym. Including staff quarters, there are seven bedrooms, 10 bathrooms and 13,508 square feet of living space. The more than half an acre property includes a swimming pool, a basketball court and a five-car garage.
Damon, 42, co-wrote âGood Will Huntingâ with Affleck and shared an Oscar for the screenplay in 1998. They became friends growing up in Cambridge, Mass. He stars in the film âPromised Landâ and the upcoming HBO Liberace biopic âBehind the Candelabra.â He also starred in âThe Adjustment Bureauâ (2011), âTrue Gritâ (2010) and the Jason Bourne film trilogy (2002-07).
House Goes, Marriage Stays
Vanessa Bryant sold a Newport Coast house for $3.22 million right before she and Lakers superstar Kobe Bryant called off their divorce. The Mediterranean-style house was signed over to her as part of her settlement and went on the market in September at $3.75 million.
The mountain-view house was built in 1999 and sits on about a quarter of an acre in a gated community where the Bryants have two other houses. Features include an office/library, five fireplaces, balconies, five bedrooms, a bonus room and 5.5 bathrooms. There is a spa, an outdoor fireplace and a built-in barbecue.
Public records show the Bryants bought the property in 2003 for $2.65 million.
